We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize electrical systems for industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical designs, control panel drawings, cable layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation while coordinating with project, production, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for industrial plants, machinery, and automation projects.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Power Distribution Drawings, Control Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Terminal Diagrams, and Panel GA Drawings.
• Design MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, and Control Panels based on project requirements.
• Prepare cable schedules, cable routing layouts, cable tray layouts, earthing layouts, and panel layouts.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOM), electrical load calculations, and technical specifications.
• Select electrical components such as MCCBs, MCBs, Contactors, Relays, VFDs, PLCs, Sensors, and field instruments.
• Review customer specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement for component selection and vendor technical approvals.
• Support production during panel fabrication and wiring activities.
• Coordinate with the commissioning team during installation, testing, and startup.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement engineering modifications whenever required.
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with IEC, IS, NEC, and applicable industrial standards.
• Maintain revision control for electrical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, operation manuals, and as-built documentation.
• Participate in customer meetings and provide technical clarifications.
• Support value engineering, standardization, and continuous design improvements.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panel design.
• Experience in designing electrical systems for industrial automation projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN Electric P8, or similar electrical design software.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, Servo Systems, and Industrial Automation.
• Familiarity with electrical protection systems, motor control circuits, and power distribution.
• Knowledge of cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, short circuit calculations, and load calculations.
• Experience in preparing BOMs and electrical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Key Requirements

Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
  • Electrical Engineering (EE)
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
  • Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering (E&I)

Experience

• Diploma: 5–8 Years
• B.E./B.Tech: 2–4 Years
